Highlights
Samsung Galaxy J4 is a low-mid range smartphone release from Samsung in 2018. 3000 mAh battery is offering up to 20 hours 3G talk-time and the battery is removable which are some fine positives. 2 GB RAM, 1.4 GHz quad-core CPU, Exynos 7570 chipset and Mali T720 GPU ensure decent performance and relatively smooth GPU oriented app usage in low settings environment. We find that this phone is rather for careful and modest users who prioritize durability.
The 13 MP autofocus back camera impressed us the most in this device. It can capture natural looking photos with pleasant color contrasts and focus in the daylight. The full HD video recording quality is also pretty nice. The front camera is just 5 Megapixel with reasonable quality. The colors are balanced in the daylight.
5.5 inches HD super AMOLED screen is quite generous from Samsung for the price. Super AMOLED is known for its superior color contrasts and sharpness. A big complement to Samsung from us for the display technology of Galaxy J4 .
The phone comes with Android Oreo 8.1 OS. There are OTG support, dual-SIM and a dedicated MicroSD card slot. There is no fingerprint or face unlock feature, but the “Samsung Secure Folder” option can be used to add an extra layer of security to multimedia files and documents. It is downloadable via Google Play store. Call quality, sound, GPS accuracy are of Galaxy J4 are great too.
